the Pet Parents

Project Overview

A pet retailer is on their journey to transition into a pet parent’s partner. Salesforce Ignite team was brought in to envision a future where the company can connect deeply with pet parents as well as pet service providers through a personalized and holistic pet care experience.

Our approach

  1. Visit pet shops and areas with lots of pet parents.

  2. Interviewed key stakeholders to understand the goals, opportunities, obstacles and other on-going initiatives.

  3. Used online research tool to get to know better about pet parents, and recruited candidates for in-depth interviews.

  4. Conducted 7 in-depth interviews with pet parents and 3 pet service providers.

  5. Facilitated research immersion and ideation workshop with the client’s senior executives

  6. Final readout to the senior executive team

My role

Design project planning, Idea sketching, Research stimulus, Filming and interview recording, Vision stories, UI designs, Story photograph, Final report

The team wanted to start our research by talking to pet parents and visiting local pet shops. It got us thinking and formed a lot of hypothesis.

Fast forward. After weeks of research and synthesis, we brought the learnings back to the customers at the ideation work session with the customers

After going through rounds of brainstorming activities with the team, we came up with a handful of ideas to test out with the pet parent research participants.

I collaborated with the team to sketch out the future vision storyboard that based on all our learnings on the pet parents and service providers.
